KAJIAN YURIDIS TERHADAP TINDAK PIDANA PENYEBARAN PENYAKIT MENULAR
Abstract
This study, entitled "A Legal Study of the Criminal Act of Spreading Infectious Diseases," aims to conduct a legal study of the criminal act of spreading infectious diseases in Indonesia. The phenomenon of the spread of infectious diseases has serious impacts on public health and socio-economic stability. It focuses on the obstacles faced in criminal acts of spreading infectious diseases and the types of sanctions for criminal acts of spreading infectious diseases.
The research method used in this study is normative. All data was obtained through library research, which focused on gathering information by reviewing various books, legal theories, journals, and relevant legislation (statue approach). The type of data used is secondary data. The results obtained through direct library research are systematically compiled and analyzed in accordance with normative research methods.
The results of the study indicate that problems caused by rapidly spreading infectious diseases have been proven to cause chaos in society. In accordance with Article 1 paragraph (1) of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine, which defines quarantine as an effort to prevent and control the entry or exit of diseases or public health risk factors.
